Cardboard and design

It may seem like an exaggeration at first, but corrugated cardboard can also be successfully used as a design material.

PAKENDIspezialists are talented experimenters and here is a stylistic example of corrugated cardboard sheets from architect Frank Owen Gehry's chair. Frank Gehry is very versatile as an architect and designer. As well as designing buildings, he was also interested in interior design, and has collaborated with a number of furniture manufacturers who made the extravagant design pieces he created available to the public. His first furniture collection, 'Easy edges' (1969-1973), was made of cardboard, and the most famous example is the waving chair.
